A member asked:

Can you pick up a breat tumor frim a chest xray? and is it a white spot?

Unusual but possible: A chest X-ray does not show the breast structure very well, yet it can give a fairly good outline and could show a shadow which can be a breast tumor. You should get a physical exam and also a mammogram to confirm or rule it out and do see without delay.

Possible but...: Only very large or very dense tumors would be expected to show up. That's why we need mammograms to find all of the tiny and less dense ones. And the microscopic ones. Most things that would show as a white density in breast on CHEST X-ray I expect would be skin cyst or something similar. If your MD is unsure he/she can always order a mammogram , Ultrasound or biopsy to clarify
