Imperfect Enamel: Enamel is the hardest substance in your body, and amelogenesis imperfecta makes it weak, brittle, and prone to caries. Well made restorations on healthy teeth last 10 to 15 years... expectations for teeth with this problem should be adjusted accordingly. Full coverage crowns may be your best option, but even they won't last forever. Speak to a prosthodontist in your area for what might work best.
