Cervical length: 3.4 cm. is a normal length, and at 16 weeks, the size of the pregnancy even with cervical incompetence would not yet be "shortened" as an indication of potential early delivery. If this is your first pregnancy, what you described is not a concern at this point. A series of ultrasounds can reassure you and your provider that the likelihood of a normal delivery is probable.
