I"m 13wks pregnant and about 1wk ago, my cervix started hanging out, what do i need to do? my obgyn says it is normal

This is to help contain the pregnancy within the uterus and act as a barrier from outside sources of infection. As you near your delivery, the cervix reverts to thinner form and begins to dilate.
