Not likely.: It would not be likely to be able to feel the sigmoid colon, unless it were particularly distended with very hard stool, which would be rather unusual. If you are feeling something in the left lower portion of the abdomen, I would contact your doctor for a physical examination to see what is wrong. Good luck.
