I just got my period and when i go to use the bathroom i can feel the blood spill out and at the bottom of the toilet there is dark red almost look black syrupy blood. i am concerned about this. what could this mean?

Usually normal: Dark blood suggest that the blood is old. The old blood probably has mucous mixed with it and this can give a syrupy appearane. This is normal. Every period is not the same in the amount of flow or the color. I suggest you see how your other periods go. This sounds normal but if you are concerned don't hesitate to cal your doctor.
