No need for hospital: Sounds like this has been going on for a while. Chances are that going to the hospital will not help u get to the root of the problem. "Foot nerve swelling" (I assume u mean Morton's neuroma) cd be diagnosed in the office of an orthopedist or ur primary doc. True nerve swelling causes numbness, not pain, so chances r that u have a sprain or strain. TTYD & get a good physical exam (not an MRI). GL!
