I have lots of dry gangrene on right foot, lost 4 toes , but it doesn't go past the mid-foot. why would they amputate to knee? why not just that part?

Circulation: Normally if there is a problem with blood supply to the affected part, amputation to the point of adequate circulation is necessary. You need to insist on an explanation from your treating physicians before consenting
