Depends: If you are still coughing the cough makes your chest/rib joints move and thus the pain. I would see your doctor in another 1-2 weeks or if severe unbearable pain occurs. You could have cracked a rib or have pneumonia. Otherwise rest, ice, heat and try some cough syrup. Good luck
