Yes it may: High ESR is a response to inflammatory process in body due to various disease like Tuberculosis,Rheumatoid arthritis, endocarditis .. list is long.In lymphoma like Hodgkin type higher esr is taken as poor prognosis. However esr is not a diagnostic method for these conditions ESR may be used as a crude method to see the response of treatment in Hodgkin lymphoma
