Basic stomach flu?: Sounds like you caught a bug - hydrate, take Tylenol (acetaminophen) as needed (easier on the stomach than ibuprofen), and rest. If you symptoms persist, see your physician.

Flu symptoms?: If this is unusual for you to feel like this when on your menses I would be concerned about the flu or gastroenteritis if anyone else in your household is having similar symptoms. If so you see your primary care physician. If these are typical symptoms that you have when on your menses u should see your gynecologist.

Hormonal or...: ...could be a viral or bacterial stomach infection. It's not uncommon to feel nauseated during or right before your period. But if you are sexually active and your period is at all abnormal fir you, check a pregnancy test.
