Possible allergy: Tequila is distilled liquor derived from the agave plant. Case reports of allergy to tequila have occurred. Alcohol allergy, also, can occur, though not commonly. There are multiple other mechanisms possible: reactions to contaminants, flushing related to problems with metabolism(more often in Orientals), nonspecific histamine release, etc. Interesting alc. may possib increase allergy propensities
