blood vessels dilate: Does this happen with all alcohol or just red wine? Many individuals will have histamine release due to alcohol exposure which results in the flushing. If symptoms are directly related to red wine, the culprit may be the tannins or the sulfates in the wine. Try wine low in tannins or organic sulfate free wine.
