Who's the doctor?: Let the doctor know your symptoms so (s)he can make the diagnosis. There are many reasons for poor focus and attention. If you try to convince a doctor of a specific diagnosis (s)he is likely to feel defensive especially when one of the treatment options is a highly controlled substance which is commonly abused

Too common: This is unfortunately the case for so many. A most stigmatized diagnosis amongst the profession. It is both over and under diagnosed and treated. Risks on erring too much on side or the other of the debate. Overall wishing you well in which ever direction you move
