A day without chips: Is always a sad day for me, also if there is no cream puffs! Feeling deprived is easy when there is no real deprivation to suffer. Put this in perspective. Missing eating a Whopper is not nearly as bad as missing the basics of life any food, clothing, shelter. Sometimes we just have to say that we are too privileged and have to deal with the fact that bad things are too easy to come by too often

Real addiction! Try:: It's common to become addicted to sugar and other unhealthy foods. It might be best to slowly reduce while emphasizing eating healthier foods, esp. vegetables & fruits. If you eat more healthy foods you'll eat less unhealthy ones. It's best to eat sweets after a balanced meal rather than on an empty stomach. Try using fruit to satisfy your sweet tooth. See below: Make small EASY changes every few days. Add a healthy food and reduce or eliminate an unhealthy choice every few days. If the urge for a favorite food is too strong to resist, give yourself permission to take just a smaller portion than usual without feeling guilty.
