Probably Unrelated: The two symptoms you describe are most likely unrelated, however, pressure from an erupting wisdom tooth has been known to cause discomfort in other areas. Have you had x-rays done recently of your wisdom teeth? If not, now is a great time to get that done and if the wisdom teeth are a problem get them out before they cause damage. Then after healing you can see if there are other issues.

See a dentist: Some conditions may require further assessment, tests and your dentist may book a follow-up appointment or refer you to a specialist to determine a diagnosis. Take care.
