See an endodontist: Oral infections such as certain chronic abscess or cracked, fractured teeth can often be difficult to diagnose and treat. In addition to dental school, endodontists receive 2-3 more years of advanced education in this kind of diagnosis and treatment. That’s why you should see an endodontist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

The tooth is either dead or dying: The change in color is from blood from the pulp ( nerves and blood vessels) getting into the dentinal tubule's or tubes within the yellow part of the tooth (dentin) under the enamel. This sometimes occurs after traumatic injury to the tooth.

Color change: Color change indicates infection resulting in loss of vitality of the pulp of the tooth. Important that this infection be eliminated. Please see a root canal specialist, and Endodontist, for immediate treatment.
