Reasonable: Ciprofloxacin as Amoxicilin are widely prescribed since they are cheap and efficient. It is a reasonable option

Acute sinusitis: Not first choice for sinusitis unless a person has reasons to avoid penicillin, cephalosporins, macrolides, bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim)...Please use sterile nasal saline rinses frequently to cleanse out the bacteria and mucous. Dropping your head over the bed and moving it in different directions helps the sterile saline reach all cavities. Grandmother's method of steam inhalation also can help.
