Is methocarbamol good for relieving back pain?

Variable: It is helpful for some, not for others. It is a reasonably safe medication in my opinion and I do prescribe it. It can make you drowsy so you should not drive or use power tools when taking this medication.

Robaxin (methocarbamol) is older…: Med used in treatment of back pain; mild muscle relaxer, that has been replaced by newer, more effective ones (flexeril, norflex, (orphenadrine) etc). If pain due solely to muscle spasm, muscle relaxer may suffice, but moist heat, stretching, & NSAID use generally provide better relief.
