Muscle Relaxers: You know you would think that muscle relaxers would work well for uterine cramps but in my experience they just don't do very much. I have had much better success with the NSAID's because they block prostaglandin which actually cause the cramping in the uterus. The one that my patients seem to have the most help with is naproxyn which is found in over the counter Aleve, (naproxen) 2 tablets twice a day.
