Std Uptake Value: or SUV is a measure of the tumor's metabolic activity. The higher the SUV the more metabolically active the tumor. Metabolic activity often equates with rate of cell division and growth. An SUV of 5.2 is quite high. Values above 2.5 generally are highly suggestive of malignancy. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
