Could wait: It the stone is small, as you say, is not blocking the flow of urine or causing pain, you may leave it alone. However, do follow your doctor's advice for follow-up and tests. If it gets larger, lithotripsy may be an option. You may discuss this option with your doctor even now.

Stone removal?: It depends on where the stone is. If the stone is asymptomatic, you need not do anything at this point. Speak to a urologist to see if you can have lithotripsy (L) to break up the stone, using sound waves to do so. This will spear you surgery. If you can have L, and its presence bothers you, go for it. If not, there is no reason for worry. Good luck.
