Are you sure: That he didn't eat anything different when he was at his dad's? It doesn't sound like there is anything wrong with your 6 month old. The color of stool can vary quite a bit and it is usually related to something that was ingested, If he/she is acting normally, no fever, normal appetite, then I wouldn't be alarmed.
