Should i stop omeprazole if rashes start appearing ?

Rash with Medication: Drug rashes are pretty typical in appearance and tend to be all over the body and not confined to one specific place. Before stopping the medicine I suggest you call your doctor and discuss the rash with s/he. If you are having any shortness of breath or swelling of your throat then stop the medicine and seek care immediately at the ER.

Although Rare: Allergic reactions can occur with ANY drug. Ask your Primary care provider to change your proton pump inhibitor from Omeprazole to Pantoprazole which is a slightly different structure. Hope this helps Dr Z
