Abscessed tooth: It is inexplicable that the dentist "removed" abscess, yet he did no extraction. That is precisely how an abscess is "treated" in the absence of other (ie root canal) treatment. If for some reason the "abscess removal" was an incision and drainage (ie poke a hole in the gum) then not removing the tooth at the same time makes little sense. Waiting "ten days" could result in a more serious infection
