I got my mri results back, it states, multiple schmorl's nodes are demonstrated, particularly evident at and about l3-4 level. what does that mean?

Schmorl's nodes: Schmorl's nodes represent an abnormality in the discs that are between the vertebral bodies in the spine. They show up when a bit of the center of the disc, called the nucleus pulposis, herniates into the cartilage covering the top or bottom of the vertebral bodies. They are seen on about 20% of people without back pain so they are not a good marker for the cause of back pain.

Not much: The presence or absence of Schmorl's nodes in a vertebral body does not correspond to any known symptom or condition. It is usually included in an MRI report to prevent a patient or inexperienced Doctor from freaking out when they see such a lesion in the spine and are worried about things like cancer in the bone which are not there.
