Not cancer: Cancer does not come and go. Canker sores are tender. Are these tender? White spots can also be yeast. You need to see your physician who can clarify the diagnosis.

One idea: Do you perhaps have transient lingual papillitis? It's not cancer. Read about it. Check with your physician next time you visit and they are present. I hope you're able to stop chewing someday, but I'm very glad you're chewing rather than smoking. Best wishes.
