i have strep throat (2nd day of symptoms) but am a cigarette smoker. i smoke around 6-10 cigarettes a day will this make my strep worse?

This certainly can: make your throat feel worse. It won't necessarily make the actual strep infection worse, but perhaps you could take this opportunity to quit and improve your overall health.
