When getting rhinoplasty, post op is it true you have to breathe through your mouth since nose is comp bandaged?

Post rhinoplasty: Not all the doctors will pack the nose post rhinoplasty. Packing or placing tape around the ends of the nostril will depend on the types of surgery performed.. Almost all doctors will put a drip gauze sponge under the nose to catch any drainage or blood. You can ask your doctor this question directly as he will be able to tell you before the operation what he plans to do. Good luck.

Partially : Your nose is stuffy but not usually totally plugged. Many doctors, like myself, do not use packing in the nose. Yet swelling makes the nose stuffy right after surgery. You can breathe some through it though.
