I have a swollen lymph node under jaw it's been over two weeks and it's went down considerably and it's to the point where it feels like it's completely gone. should i still follow up with a doctor?

No: Sounds like this may have not been a lymph node rather a swollen submaxillary salivary gland and that you had an obstruction due to duct stone which you "passed"..did you have a salty taste in your mouth?????? Hope this helps! Dr Z

Lymph Node: I usually tell my patients to come back if the node grows, continues to be sore or is not getting smaller. If your doctor was insistent that you come back a call to the office that it is gone, and a question do I need to come back likely will solve your proble.

Lymph node: Probably, it was reactive in nature, not cancerous. You are fine. However, if it comes back, then see your doctor.
