A member asked:

Thrombin-antithrombimtat is 9.7, positive fibrin monomer, fibrinogen activity 451, homocysteine level 14.8. my doctor did not say much. is this bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends.: High TAT occurs with activated clotting system. Causes vary--bleeding, blood clots, vascular disease, inflammation. High homocysteine can be associated with risk of clotting or vascular disease but also deficiency of B-12 or folic acid. If the rash is vasculitis it might explain much of what was found. Ask your doctor to explain it all when your biopsy is back.
