A member asked:

My symptoms are, bad appetite, hair loss, quite tired. my lab result - homocysteine level is 13. b12 level 237. tsh 2,0. should i take b12 vitamins?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You may: You B12 is borderline low and you may take oral B12 or injections. However, it is not likely to resolve your symptoms. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.
