It Depends: Big or Prominently visible veins can be a sign of having low body fat or being physically fit. There are no problems with that type of" bulging "veins. Enlarged Ropey veins on the legs are called varicose veins and they do have some health consequences. Varicose veins do not circulate blood properly, can cause symptoms and increased the risk for bleeding , blood clots and leg ulcers.

Bulging veins: Bulging veins can occur from working out for several reasons: the intraabdominal pressure is increased and the veins will dilate and more blood is flowing so the veins will also enlarge. This is normal and is nothing bad. If however, you have bulging varicose veins of the legs then this is abnormal and is due to malfunctioning valves of the saphanbous vein,.
