Possibly yes.: Anything that increases your abdominal pressure, such as severe cough, can induce acid reflux into your esophagus. Try otc acid reducers such as Prilosec and, if this does not work, see a doctor for full evaluation.

Possible: You could have nausea and upset stomach with a cold virus. Another possibility is if you've been taking much ibuprofen or other NSAIDS the could have irritated your stomach, Try Tums (calcium carbonate) or Prilosec for a few days, if still getting upset stomach see you doctor. Avoid carbonated beverages, NSAIDS, alcohol until it feels better. If NSAIDS were the problem you may not be able to take them.
