Medical evaluation: Acid reflux can cause ulcers to develop in the stomach. In some instances, increased acid production and/or ulcer formation can be caused by a certain type of bacteria called h. Pylori that would need antibiotics to cure. A simple test at your physician's office would be able to determine this.
