Probably viral: A COVID 19 screening test may be indicated. Please use good hand washing and disinfect surfaces.The other possible cause is a viral gastroenteritis infection. Continue to breast feed, keep the baby well hydrated, check his temperature, and please follow up with your PCP. The baby's usual immunizations should be provided. If there is a fever of 101 or higher, please see the urgent care center.
