Low iron: Is your diet poor in iron rich foods? How heavy are your periods? Your iron level is your cause of hair loss, but you need to determine why you are iron deficient - from lack of intake or loss of blood (either menses or bleeding internally somewhere in your GI tract).

No: The answer is not a clear cut yes/no. The fda has assigned a category c rating which means there were some negative effects when given to animals at extremely high doses but no clear answer in humans. You should talk to your ob, eye doctor and pediatrician.

No: Both drugs are category c, which means there are no direct human harm shown, but animal studies show adverse effects on the fetus. The benefits may outweigh the risks, under certain circumstances, this should be discussed with your doctor. Rifampin is considered safe with breast feeding while Isoniazid is not and may decrease flow and quality of milk.

No: I often recommend that pregnant patients sleep with a body pillow as it can help relieve low back pain in pregnancy. Consider a buckwheat stuffed head pillow or foam head pillow if you find you are not getting proper neck support.

A 19-year-old female asked:

I have puss on tonceles and large bumps on back of tongue and throat but don't hurt. Do u know what could be wrong?

Probably normal: If you do not have pain and no fever then this may be normal. All of our tongues have bumps on the back of them and just maybe you never noticed them. The tonsils can collect debris and dead cells that slough off and these can collect as small white plugs in the tonsil itself. If there is no pain it is unlikely that you have an infection.
