Swelling..: After this type of injection you may get swelling under the skin but does not mean the medication stays there, the body absorbs the medication. Try icing the area and if you develop a rash or the swelling gets worse follow up with your doctor.

Not stuck: Whenever you inject antibiotics you have the potential to get a little swelling in the area. Sometimes you have some bleeding which will form a hematoma and be hard. This is not like a blood clot in veins and is rarely more than uncomfortable. Over time the clotted blood will become liquid again and be absorbed. May or may not have visible bruise. If redness and warmth at site let provider know.

Not stuck: It is most likely that there is local inflammation where the Rocephin (ceftriaxone) was injected. Try using warm packs on the area to provide some pain relief. Gentle massage of that area may also help healing. Do take the rest of the medicine (Keflex) as directed, and hope you feel better soon!
