I went to the er on yesterday and was diagnosed with a 3mm kidney stone and a uti. they gave me rocephin (ceftriaxone) by iv. how long will this take to clear up?

Difficult to say: How long an infection takes to clear varies with many factors including the antibiotic given. Passing a stone also difficult to predict. Drinking plenty of fluids does help. If after 7 days you still have symptoms then call your doctor to see if any adjustments have to be made.
