Fever: wet sponge can lower the temperature, but it would be wise to see a doctor instead medicating the child without knowing for certain what she has, specially when the temperature keep rising , cold like symptom is not necessarily due to the "cold virus"

OK to sponge: with lukewarm water. If water is too cool, it may cause shivering, which is counterproductive. Fever of 104 is not harmful and is the body's way of fighting infection, but concern is for dehydration, so be sure to push fluids. Occ. ibuprofen works better for fever, and that could be used instead of the paracetamol/Tylenol. Your child may have a virus and antibiotics won't help then.
