Wheeze chest infecti: what side is your chest infection (presuming pneumonia)?? if it is on the right side - as you lay - the mucus will accumulate on that side and narrow the airways causing the wheeze. A good mucolytic medication - Guafenesin or Mucinex (guaifenesin) would be useful in your case. good luck

Wheeze: What is causing the wheezing in the first place? When you lie on your right side, you are restricting the expansion of the right lung somewhat. You should be examined by your physician to determine the cause of the wheezing and get treated for it.
