Recovery: It will take a little while for a patient to breath normally after general anesthesia. A lot depends on how long the surgery is, what kind of surgery and what kind of drug used during general anesthesia. Patient safety is the most important goal for all the anesthesia providers. Past medical issues: Do you have any medical issues. A preponderance of medical issues before General anesthesia will determine how easily you will breathe after. If you are healthy, expect easy breathing.
