Pain: Firstly doctors will not give you narcotics but instead prescribe opioids- Firstly just having pain does not mean you get an opioid. The decision to prescribe an opioid is complicated and involves many factors. However, in the current draconian in which doctors work these days - more doctors are reluctant to prescribe.
