Microtubules!: Vincristine stops the formation of microtubules, which are important in cell division (leading to nausea, low blood counts, hair loss, etc.) but microtubules ALSO transport chemicals inside our nerve cells. The longest nerves in our body connect our spinal cord to our fingertips and toes ; this is why vincristine causes nerve problems especially in fingertips and toes.
