I am getting vincristine and dactinomycin andi want to lessen the side effects?

These remain: Cornerstone drugs in wilms tumor and other pediatric tumors. All drugs have side effects. Speak to your oncologist about which one bothers you the most. The usual answer is dose reduction or substitution of another drug...Neither good options.

It would be helpful: To know the side effects to which you refer. Dactinomycin is generaly well tolerated, with nausea/emesis being the most common negative. We have excellent medications to address this. For vincristine, it is generally the neuropathic effects that bother the most. We have a variety of interventions to address these as well. Dose reductions may be needed for major toxicities. More specifics?
