A 47-year-old member asked:

When it comes to depression, is prevention more effective than medical cures?

Dr. Andrew Berry
Clinical Psychology 16 years experience
Therapy: The only way I know of to "prevent" depression is a combination of medication and therapy. And even then, the word "prevent" is ill-used. The better term would be management of depression, as opposed to a cure.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
