No: We still don't have a cure for depression. There have been studies looking at deep brain stimulation as a treatment, but results are mixed. Antidepressants and therapy remain the primary interventions. For more resistant cases, ECT and transcranial magnetic stimulation (tms) may be useful.

Brain Stimulation: Deep brain stimulation is a surgical procedure that has been found helpful in cases of depression that are unresponsive to all other therapies -- including ECT and transcranial stimulation.
