when doing push-ups, why do my arms hurt? does that mean the exercise is working?

Its strenuous: Obviously pushups are a strenuous exercise where you lift your entire body weight with your arms If you are not that strong you may overdue it or feel post exercise in your upper chest or shoulder As long as it fades over 1-2 days its probably just muscular soreness
