Delayed pubertal : onset in boys is defined as lack of testicular enlargement to 2.5 cm. diameter or > or 4 ml. volume or > by age 14. A pediatric endocrinologist uses a Prader orchidometer ( see photo) to measure for testicular enlargement. If none, bone-age X-Rays & blood tests for genetic & hormonal causes will be done.
