What is the difference between the sympathetic, parasympathetic and peripheral nervous sytems?

Need more characters: We are limited to 400 characters in our reply, wouldn't be enough to explain this. They overlap in ways so they aren't completely separate. Sympathetic counteracts the parasympathetic and the central nerves and the peripheral nerves make up the total anatomic nervous system. The Sym/Parasym nerves are more the functional part of the nerves.
